A bottle of wine is only as good as its history. From purchase to pouring, we seek to constantly improve the art and science of ensuring the quality, condition, and integrity of each and every bottle that passes through our doors.
Through our long-term relationships with trusted suppliers, our Sourcing Team constantly searches the globe, identifying opportunities to acquire bottles — young and mature, rare and timely — that meet our exacting standards. Once onsite, each bottle undergoes a hierarchical inspection process overseen by wine industry veterans. A laser focus on transport and temperature ensures we continue to care for the condition of each bottle.
For wine producers, the provenance of a wine ends when their wine is bottled. For Soutirage, it’s just the beginning.

Every bottle that arrives at Soutirage undergoes an immediate comprehensive inspection by our Receiving Specialist.
Depending on the source, bottles above a certain age or price point are diverted to Quality Control for a secondary inspection. These bottles are subject to further scrutiny from our Sourcing Department.
Much the way fine art appraisers inspect rare pieces, our hierarchical Quality Control literally takes a magnifying glass to each bottle. During this process, we check for:
